My name is Athena, and I am a graphic designer, located in Hudson, New York, specializing in layout design for print and digital applications. My penchant for detail and organization skills assist me in the pursuit of finding how to bring clarity to all forms of visual communication.
With over 8 years of experience working in design, I’ve had the opportunity to be a part of the team on a diverse portfolio of projects from the initial kick-off through to the handing off of final deliverables. My previous small agency experience helped me learn how to successfully complete projects within tight deadlines, utilizing our lean staff to the best of their abilities, and gave me the confidence and know-how to break out on my own.
My love for the tactile nature of printed ephemera, including the processes of hand-selecting luxurious papers and creating refined typographic designs have led to my recent endeavor in letterpress printing. My newest business venture, martha makes designs, and specializes in creating boutique wedding invitations, greeting cards, and other letterpress-printed ephemera.
When I'm not working away solving a design challenge or printing on my tabletop Craftsmen Superior press, I enjoy spending my time cooking up something delicious in my kitchen, curling up with my feline friend, Keri, or going on adventures (both big and small) with my husband, Karl.
