Scope: Custom Packaging, Stickers + Instructional Inserts
Role: Materials Sourcing, Concept Development, Content Creation, Design, Project Management, Pre-Press, Print Management

After working closely with the MaskSense team to create a visual brand more in line with the companies mission and vision, we quickly moved into rapid design and development of the product packaging and the visuals for the stickers. The process began with exploring various packaging options on the market as well as sourcing potential eco-friendly materials. The consensus reached was to create all of the packaging and insert materials from paper in order to be curbside recyclable or compostable. With my previous experience managing print projects from design through production, I began the process of sourcing various paper options with sustainable qualities, while simultaneously working on the custom die line design for our envelope-style packaging.

When it came to the visual design, we had to be conscientious of the amount of information to be included on the packaging, the small informational insert, and the back of the stickers. We wanted to keep the size compact so that the whole package could fit in your back pocket. I worked closely with the team to craft the content to be informative but concise. The resulting designs are playful, utilizing bright colors that evoke the essence of their corresponding scents along with graphic patterns and elements that hint at the scientific aspect of our sense of smell.
