A vintage postcard theme for the 2021 Gala added a touch of nostalgia to this annual event.

Scope: Gala Invitation Suite, Program Booklet
Role: Concept Development, Design, Project Management, Pre-Press

The Adirondack Experience Museum's Gala is an annual fundraising event that offers the opportunity to celebrate the people who have impacted the Adirondack community for the better. The 2021 Gala honored Linda and Sarah Cohen, a pair of sisters with deep ties to the region. They own and operate Old Forge Hardware, now a general store and staple of the Adirondacks, originally opened by their Grandfather in the early 1900s.

The theme for this year's event was inspired by the park, which has been frequented as a vacation destination since the late 1800s. You can walk into pretty much any antique store in New York and find an Adirondacks postcard. The design for the invitations and program booklet incorporates images of Blue Mountain Lake and the beauty of the Adirondack Experience campus, rendered as illustrative postcards fronts paired with nostalgic typefaces. Throughout the program, I utilized vintage postcard layouts and postage markings and created custom stamp graphics using the ADKX logo along with other vibrant images.
