Book design for a dissertation exploring the psychological effects of the transition process for immigrant children.

Scope: Coloring Book
Role: Layout Design, Sourcing Illustrations

Christina Zawalski, Psy.D. was working towards her Doctor of Psychology when she reached out to me to assist her in transforming her dissertation from a clinical document into a fully designed coloring book complete with custom line illustrations. I assisted her in sourcing an illustrator to create the various scenes of the protagonist, Adira, an Iranian immigrant dealing with the adjustments of assimilating into the US. In my role as the designer, I created the layout design for the book including the pre-reading information, the storybook/coloring book content, and the post-reading instructional content to create a complete interactive tool for teachers & students.
