martha makes designs is my own newly developed business that focuses on creating boutique wedding invitations, greeting cards, and other letterpress printed ephemera. I fill the roles of owner, designer, and printer For this Sole Proprietorship, and given my background in graphic design and marketing, I also developed all of the martha makes brand elements.
The martha makes designs brand aesthetic is intended to be romantic and minimalistic - relying on refined typography, a warm color palette, and bits of floral imagery. Since launching the brand towards the end of 2020, I’ve built out the martha makes website, designed and letterpress printed business cards and custom thank you notes for orders, and kept up an active social media presence on Instagram to promote the pre-made and custom letterpress items for sale.
